What to expect at your initial appointment
You will meet with Dr Hii and undergo a thorough medical history and examination. Dr Hii will discuss any relevant previous results and whether or not surgery will be of benefit for you. You may be referred for more tests if they will be helpful in tailoring a care plan for you. If you require surgery, this can be organised at Peninsula Private Hospital or Freemason’s Epworth. Dr Hii also performs endocrine surgery publicly at The Alfred Hospital and Frankston Hospital.
What to bring
A valid referral letter from your GP or Specialist
The results of any relevant investigations (recent blood tests)
Medical imaging reports and films (ultrasound, CT, nuclear medical imaging)
Fees & Payments
You will be charged up to the fees recommended by the AMA. These fees exceed the rebate you will get from Medicare and your Health Fund, so that you will have to pay an out of pocket amount for consultations and surgery. Please do not hesitate to discuss any financial issues with Dr Hii or the Practice Manager.
